Winterization of Your Aerocet Floats

As most floats are left oustide during the winter to weather the elements, we wanted to give you some tips on how to best guard your floats from the effects of cold weather.

1. Pump all water from each compartment.

2. Remove each hatch cover.

3. Take a sponge and remove any excess water.

4. Visually inspect all pump out tubing for cracks.

5. Visually inspect door seals and replace if neccessary.

6. Inspect internal pulleys and brackets for wear or corrosion.

7. Inspect cable tubing and tighten if slack.

8. Pour one quart of RV antifreeze into each compartment.

9. Replace each hatch cover. Be careful not to push too hard on the screws when tightening.

10. Place a piece of vinyl tape over the pump out cups.

11. Walk away and wait for spring.
